OCD Therapist in Bristol & Online | Specialist in Rumination & Mental Compulsions

You don’t need more answers, you need to stop answering the questions……

Hi, I'm Jess!

Are you struggling with OCD, taboo intrusive thoughts, rumination, mental compulsions or anxiety? I’m a Bristol based psychotherapist (also working online across the UK) offering evidence based therapy, including CBT and ERP, to help you break free from OCD and intrusive thoughts and get back to living life.

"Less Thinking More Living"

If you’re caught in the relentless grip of OCD, rumination, and anxiety, you’ll know how exhausting it feels. The constant mental loops of intrusive thoughts, doubt, compulsive behaviours, self-criticism, and shame can make everyday moments feel like overwhelming battles.

As an experienced OCD and anxiety therapist  based in Bristol and online, I understand how these patterns can take over your life – and how hard it is to break free on your own.

I specialise in OCD and anxiety therapy, helping individuals who feel stuck in obsessive thinking patterns and compulsive behaviours.

I work with:

  •  Taboo intrusive thoughts (including POCD and harm OCD)
  • Rumination and mental compulsions (often referred to as 'Pure O' presentations)
  • Health anxiety and illness anxiety
  • Relationship OCD (ROCD)
  • Chronic doubt & uncertainty intolerance

Using a combination of evidence based therapies, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy) and MCT techniques (Metacognitive Therapy) we’ll work together to target what’s actually keeping you stuck, and how to move forward.

You don’t have to keep living in your head, waking up scared of what thoughts or images might show up. Therapy can help you stop treating every thought, image or feeling like a threat, so that you can reclaim your time, your energy, and your life.

About Me

Hi, I'm Jess Marriner,

I chose to retrain as a psychotherapist following a career in adult mental health social work, which spanned 15 years, and through which I realised the part I loved most was the emotional support I could offer those going through tricky life events.

Let’s Talk

I offer a free, no obligation, 20 minute consultation via telephone or video to briefly explore the difficulties you are seeing support with and for you to help decide if you’d like to work with me.

If I believe an alternative approach or service may be more suitable for you then I will make recommendations of alternative support.
